Concept Aroma Therapy Device - Kalain
This project is about researching the field for our interest and framing the problem surrounded by the topic. The aim is to learn how to build an effective brief through research and create a project-based project through innovation.
The story
In my personal preference, I was particularly interested in the area of comforting depression through products. After some research, I have found that the sense of smell is the most powerful, most potent way to bring back impressions and emotions. This can include good memories or just scents that can help to relax the tension.
Therefore, I decided to make a product that will work with a company called Kalain. The concept is to help them to build a portable aroma diffuser to encourage the patients that suffer from anxiety and depression through smell.

Kalain is a company that uses its unique technology to make olfactory from clothing to help its customers cope with the absence of their loved ones. So I thought this product could work well with their existing product.
Why the cat shape?
Pets are known as a companion, and they can help with distressing and both support anxiety and depression; cats and dogs are the two most common pets that people have in the household.

However, Cat has known as the character and has the symbol of “power of pampering oneself “which the purpose of the cat-shape design is a hope for the users can be able to have the power of look after themselves through self-awareness in anxiety/ depression.
