Makita Concept Stick Mixer
This project aims to learn and practice making a product based on an existing brand. Copying its brand identity and exploring the possibilities for the brand in creating something opposite to its product. In this case, I'm making a stick mixer for the kitchen for Makita, which is a brand typically known as the company that makes power tools only.

The story
As the project aims to make a stick mixer for a brand that has been making power tools, there are some significant changes and transformations needed.
At first, I did some research on all the previous collections with Makita. I found out there was a series called the G series where the series has the white and Makita green instead of the typical Green and black. The G series also has a relatively smooth aesthetic as well. I thought that this colour scheme and shape would be more suitable for a kitchen appliance. So I purposely set the direction of the design to fit within this series.
The original G series for Makita has a combination of white and their iconic Makita green colour. Together, it forms a harmonic image for such a different scheme of design product.
